- Capture output from your legacy application in a variety of ways including file submission or through a virtual printer,
so normally no changes will be required to your legacy applications.

How does Formate grab data from the host?
Formate software runs
on an MS-Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 platform and continually monitors
a user definable watch folder or virtual printer(s). Users simply direct
spool queue output at the designated watch folder or virtual printer and
Formate automatically recognizes the print file and processes it accordingly.
Formate can also accept data from virtually any system on the network,
for example Unix, NT, and IBM AS/400 or mainframe, as well as XML files,
Excel workbooks, MS-Word documents, or plain text files. Incoming data
can also be accepted via emails, which are read automatically from one or
more designated POP3 mailboxes and processed according to your requirements
(the properties of the email such as its subject, from address, body etc.
